My short ride to the Vansittart Arms in Windsor attracted 7 followers but as usual the Jenkins Mob bailed out after morning coffee at Langley Park. The six of us continued to Windsor via Datchet where Tony was unlucky enough to get a puncture about a hundred yards from our lunch stop. Jim had urged me to book a table but I ignored his advice and was somewhat worried to find a craft market in full swing in the garden area and the pub somewhat full. However we managed to get the last table by sharing it with a local (not Prince Phillip) who spent the whole time drinking tea and eating digestive biscuits - what's wrong with beer and pork scratchings ? Post lunch Tony fixed his puncture and we headed back via the Jubilee River, Langley Park (again) - with Lawrie constantly in my ear saying he wouldn't have come this way - to the Red Lion in Iver for more refreshment before the last leg back to Uxbridge.
