Mona, Heather, and I parked along Red Road and hiked a short distance to Mile 86. The trail from Mile 86 to approximately Mile 87.5 is a mess of toppled trees, one mess after the other. There are some areas where we lost the trail due to trail markers being on downed trees. We would need to hike around, up, and over to search for the trail on the opposite sides of the tree clusters. We did minimal lopping. Most blocked areas were navigable by climbing over the trees.
