A Rain Delayed Start from the Parking Lot at Glanz Parkplatz 1540 m 5051 ft. The Weather was not really the Best but probably one of the Last Days to Summit this Year as Winter arrived early. Good marked Trail all the way to Sudetendeutsche Hütte 2650 m 8692 ft. Although I still managed to get Off Route and went towards Bretterwandspitze because I didn’t payed attention and had my Head under the Hoodie following a Trail but unfortunately the wrong one, Had to retrace to get back on track towards Steiner Alp. Sudetendeutsche Hütte 2650 m 8692 ft. can be seen in the Distance already but still ways to go in miserable Weather. once reaching the Hut I was soaking Wet and while changing Cloths I thought about giving up. Fortunately is was only a thought and I went ahead on the Snow Covered Trail avoiding the Scree which everyone talks about, Once I reached the Ridgeline the Wind picked up and it got much Colder. I was on my way towards Wellachkoepfe which are not very distinct along the Ridgeline towards Kleiner Muntanitz which is marked with a Cairn. Anxious for the Key-point to see what it is all about in the Snow. Luckily it wasn’t too bad and the Steel Cables were just frozen but not buried under Snow. Still had to be very Careful down climbing the rocks in the Snow and then traverse over to the Saddle between the Two Peak. Only now I know I will make it to the Summit for sure which was a big relief, A Short Distance and an easy Snow-walk got me to the Huge Summit Cairn and Cross with Register Book. The View was almost none but the Wind got less and it was quiet enjoyable at the Summit, Retraced my steps and re climbed Kleiner Muntanitz which was easier now.The Weather improved dramatically the further down I went even so much I could sit in the Sun at the Hut to enjoy a Radler and drying out my Wet Cloths. Would be for sure a Great Hike in better Weather as the whole area is nice, I’ll be back another time for some more Peaks in the Area.
