Rötspitze 3495 m 11464 ft.

Started this Hike from the Parking Lot in Ströden 1403 m 4602 ft. And made my way up to Clarahütte 2038 m 6685 ft. Which is straightforward and done by most Hikers the Day before a Summit Attempt. From here on the Trail to Kleines Philipp Reuter Biwak 2677 m 8781 ft. Is also paint marked but easily lost, did. also happen to me and I Ascent too early and had to turn around to get back on Trail. Didn’t see any marking after the Hut but it’s obvious to get up to the Ridgeline. The last part was crossing over a Snowfield and Scree. Then the Fun part started for about a Mile up and down scrambling along the Ridgeline passing over Untere Rötspitze 3290 m 10791 ft., A Good feel for the Terrain is necessary as there is no obvious Trail, The occasional Cairns confirmed that I am somehow on the correct path, Usually not bad but also loose and exposed at times, I had packed my Ice Axt and Crampons but luckily didn’t needed them today . It’s a long Ridge and slow going, from far it looked impossible at times but there was always a Solution to work around. Took me much longer then I thought but finally reached Summit with a Big Cross but no Register, (Hut Warden told me later that the Register gone missing years ago due to Damage of the Register Box). Returned the same way bypassing the Biwak as well as loosing the Trail again below. A well deserved Radler at the Hut and I was on my way back to the Parking Lot. A very long but rewarding Day not to be underestimated.
