I was introduced to a Chinese hiking group recently. 群里高手如林卧虎藏龙。This Wonderland day trip in Mount Rainier National Park was my first event with them, a very pleasant and truly beautiful outing. Hiking/Backpacking
1) Check the weather at https://www.mountain-forecast.com/peaks/Mount-Rainier/forecasts/4392 for 2 lower elevations. Bring extra layer and wind protection for unexpected weather change and emergency.
2) There might be heavy dew in the morning from condensation. Wear GORE-Tex runners or boots if you don’t want your feet wet.
3) There were plenty of good water sources to filter along the way. You don’t need to carry a lot of water.
4) As a pleasant surprise, unlike other hiking/camping areas, this section of the Wonderland Trail has almost no mosquitoes!
