Lawrie's short ride was starting from Wembley Park. So this required us catching the Met Line to there. Some got on at Uxbridge, some at Ickenham and more at Ruislip. Shame that we had all piled onto the fast one that doesn't stop at Wembley - what a bunch of Muppets ! Getting off at Finchley Road we swapped platforms and made our way back. On the first real summer's day of the year, Lawrie led us off on his record breaking run of 13 parks in one ride. We passed through, Welsh Harp Open Space, Woodfield Park, Hendon Park, |Sunny Hill Park, Cophall Playing Fields, Chase Lodge Playing Fields, Woodcroft Park, Grahame Park, Montrose Playing Fields, Silk Stream Park, Barnet FC Grounds, Canons Park and Pinner Memorial Park, Morning break was at the Metro Piazza at Mill Hill, lunch at the Duck on the Pond and tea was kindly provided by Gerry at her house.
