A low turnout at Uxbridge resulted in 3 followers for my short ride to the Greyhound at Eton Wick. We had gone about 50 yards when it started to rain. We stopped under the Randall's canopy while Gerry struggled into her waterproof trousers, then we were off again. 200 yards down the road, the rain stopped for the rest of the day - these could be the new magic trousers as John's don't seem to work anymore. We had coffee at Iver Golf Club before making our way via the Jubilee River to the Greyhound to find Brian there. Latecomers, Mr Sparkle and Big Les arrived five minutes later. Following lunch we headed back directly to Uxbridge via Datchet for tea at the Three Tuns. Uxbridge to Uxbridge 23 miles. Senior Moment of the Day Award goes to myself for running around Iver GC looking for my glove before realising that I was wearing it ! What a plonker ! Puffing Loiterer
