4x4 Runs Havasu to Boriana Mine

Run really starts at Alamo Rd/95. Nice calm ride up the mountain to the lower level (main area). Nice big place to hang out for lunch with the group. I put my Jeep in low range for the slower speed but 4wd wasn’t necessary. Go up one level and to the right to see the pond and big goldfish. The trail to this point is a 2 (on 10). This is where it gets interesting. DON’T go to the left and follow the switchbacks in anything wider than a Jeep. I wouldn’t recommend anyone not well-experienced off road, afraid of heights or in anything with questionable brakes follow the switchbacks. However, if you and your Jeep are capable and courageous then the views are spectacular. I would rate this section a solid 7-8. 4lo and be careful. 1/2 second of panic or slipping off the brake pedal could be fatal. I was probably only 100’ from the mountains crest but backed up a bit where I could turn around. Mapping looks like it would meet the Arizona Peace trail that heads to Kingman.

Offroading

Plan a nice easy ride and pack a lunch. We went in and back out. If you have more time the trail goes a couple other directions. IF you take the hard path, be careful and enjoy the views.
