Another day on the Diamond L This used to be a guest ranch but now the owner, Gary Luther, just shares his ranch with friends and family. Wonderful lodge and camping accommodations. I think Gary is 81 now and doesn't want the work of operating a guest ranch anymore but he keeps the lodge open for his local church leaders needing conference locations etc. A lot of the horse trails are overgrown but we still managed to get thru in a round about way and made our way into the Forest Service land. The forest service allows off road vehicles on most of these trails, but we only encountered a couple of side by sides and the operators were very courteous towards our horses. A lot of the trails are rocky but once off the main trails, things got better. This was mainly a scouting expedition in search of new to us places to ride close to home.
